Evaluation
What was your animation about?
My animation was about an alien from another planet comes to planet earth and turns into a snake
What did your target audience think?
My target audience was children, boys and girls, aged 10-15. They would also like animations such as Pingu. The target audience thought it was ok but it was to short it could last longer.
What sound/sound effects did you use? were they effective?
The sound effects that i used was sci-fi and the sound of a snake rattle. The sound effects in the animation made it realistic and effective. Overall I made good use of the sound and this is the aspect that I am most pleased about.
Was the lighting and shots appropriate?
The lighting I was a spot light with a clear filter so that i would be able to defuse the shot. I used arrange of shots such as a long shot so that i was able to see the characters/object in the frame.
What could you do better next time?
Next time I could take the time to plan and film my animation using better characters and a more interesting story.

Animation plan - revised
new animation plan
My new animation idea is about an alien that forms into a snake, he comes down from space and goes across a road to only end up in a cave. The alien is called Tom and he is pretty dumb and does not know much about earth, all he knows how to do is form into long objects/creatures. I have chosen to make my animation simple but technically good so that is it fluid. I will include sound effects, music and titles to make my animation complete. I will use Sci-fi sounds to establish that Tom is from space.

Task 2
Techniques
Zoetrope - A ZOETROPE IS ONE OF THE WAYS CARTOON TV
SHOWER OR FILM THAT PRODUCE'S THE ILLUSION OF MOTION BY DRAWING A COUPLE OF THE
SAME CHARACTER WITH DIFFERENT EMOTIONAL OR DIFFERENT BODY SHAPE E.G IF YOU DRAW A PERSON WALKING AND YOU SPIN
IT FORWARD IT WOULD SHOW A LITTLE CLIP OF THE PERSON WALKING FORWARDS BUT IF
YOU SPIN IT THE OPPOSITE WAY IT WILL SHOW YOU THE PERSON WALKING
BACKWARDS.

Kinetoscope – A Kinetoscope is a device that allows
one individual at a time to watch motion pictures through an eyepiece. this
device was created by Thomas Edisson and first shown in 1894. This is a device
uses is an eye piece at the top of it to allow an individual viewer to watch a
sequence of images creating the illusion of movement by coveying a strip of
perforated film bearing sequential images over a light soarce with a high speed
shutter.

Flick book - a Flick book is similar
to a zoetrope known as a Flip book is a book with a series of images that in
every page with different movement of body shape from one page to the next one,
so that when that pages are turned fast. the images appear to be moving simulating
motion or some other change.
Cell animation - Is
a transparent sheet on which objects are drawn or painted for traditional,
hand-drawn animation used during the
first half of the 20th century, but since it was flammable and dimensionally
unstable it was largely replaced by cellulose acetate. With the advent of
computer-assisted animation production, the use of cels has been practically
abandoned in major productions.

Rotoscoping - Is
when animators draw over film frame by frame to give a live video the effects
of animation
This video shows a rotoscoped short film of a guitar player.

Draw on film - Draw on film animation is where you create an animation
directly on the film instead of using frame by frame known as
direct animation animating without camera. Drawn-on-film animation it basically
any other form of animation where the object are photographed, image by image
with an animation camera.

Digital Animation - Modern
computer animation usually uses 3D computer graphics, although 2D computer
graphics are still used for stylistic, low bandwidth, and faster real-time-renderings.
Sometimes, the target of the animation is the computer itself, but sometimes
the target is another medium, such as film.To create the illusion of movement,
an image is displayed on the computer monitor.

Claymation - Each object or character is sculpted
from clay or other such similarly pliable material as Plasticine, usually
around a wire skeleton called an armature, and then arranged on the set, where
it is photographed once before being slightly moved by hand to prepare it for the
next shot, and so on until the animator has achieved the desired amount of
film. Upon playback, the human mind of the viewer perceives the series of
slightly changing, rapidly succeeding images as motion.
